OK I’M SOLD, HOW DO I SIGN-UP?


Please call us or submit a contact form with your information and we’ll contact you to complete the order. We’ll help you choose the best plan and device that fits your needs. Our secure site accepts all major debit/credit cards and you can always use it for the monthly auto-pay. Once you place a n order with us, the modem/router or hotspot will usually arrive in 5 -1 0 days from the date the order it was received. We will ship to the address that you provide so please make sure it is accurate. Please call us upon arrival to provide the device registration information and receive setup assistants.




WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SERVICE DOESN’T WORK?


This rarely happens. We use your contact information in the order process to research which primary carrier is best for your location. We do everything we can to avoid having a plan that does not connect or is slower than expected, this most likely means a lack of LTE coverage/reception at your location. Regardless of the reason, After buying our monthly service with in the first 14 days, you can cancel anytime, but we pro-rate the refund for the time you’ve used it or the amount of data used on it. Activation fees are non-refundable. If you want to cancel internet service after the 14 days, you must also let us know you want to cancel BEFORE your next billing cycle, or you will be billed for the month.




DOES THE PRICE GO UP?


The Unlimited plans are provided monthly rate that does not fluctuate unless carrier changes rate. The monthly payment is paperless billing using auto-pay to continue your plan. The billing system generates a confirmation email invoice sent to your billing system email address each month.




WHICH PLAN IS BEST FOR ME?


Each color represents one of the two major cellular carrier networks. Therefore, the primary difference between each plan is the coverage each network provides. HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM MY UNLIMITED PHONE PLAN?


Unlimited phone plans are ONLY unlimited for PHONE voice use. Unlimited phone plans only allow 5 -1 0 gb of tethering. (the ability to use the phone's data with your computer, tablet, or other connected devices.) That is the equivalent of streaming a couple HD Netflix movies. Unlike an unlimited phone plan, our data only plans and devices can entirely replace your slow home or office internet solution for a n unlimited, unthrottled, high-speed wireless data connection.




IS ALL OF THIS FOR REAL? THIS SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!


YES we are for real! We started the RIM INTERNET to provide flat-rate, affordable internet access to individuals who do not have access to traditional high-speed internet options and suffer from extreme overage charges. Our community benefits from our unlimited and unthrottled plans/devices. Our mission is to provide the internet anywhere.




DO ANY OF YOUR PLANS THROTTLE?


Essentially NO. Here is the deal... if you live in downtown L.A. and try to surf during rush hour, you may not receive the highest speeds because the cell towers get clogged. Unless something similar like this happens to you, then all should be well. Put it this way, we haven't had any complaints ;) Legally we have to let you know that where you will be utilizing our hotspots, the major carriers may be working on the cell towers close to you that could slow you down. That usually doesn't happen... but occasionally it does. We have no control over possible network optimizations being conducted by major carriers if any of their cell towers are being updated.




WHAT'S WITH THE PRICE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO MAJOR CARRIERS?


The price differences come down to the varied cost of service for each carrier. Find the lowest cost solution that meets your coverage needs.




DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT? CREDIT CHECK? ARE THESE REALLY MONTH-TO-MONTH PLANS?


All of our plans require no contract, and no credit checks! Yes, these are month to month plans. Each payment pre-pays for your next 30 days of use. You may of course cancel your service with us at any time by simply logging into your account and clicking on cancel. There is no need to return the device you purchased. Additionally, our 3 Day Trial and 7-Day Money Back Guarantee allows you to try our service at No Risk! If the service does not meet your needs in any way, simply return the device for a complete refund.




I LIVE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, AND TRAVEL QUITE A BIT. WILL YOU BE ABLE TO HELP?


We've got you covered! Our plans offer unlimited high-speed data to all corners of the United States! Our Routers offer a superior range/connectivity, but must remain plugged into power. (optional 12v car charger is available from Amazon) Hotspots offer a battery-powered mobile internet solution for 15 or less connected devices. (USA use only).




CAN I PUT MY SERVICE ON HOLD OR PAUSE IT FOR A MONTH OR TWO?


Yes. The internet service is no contract month-to-month. The service can be stopped or paused and restarted at any time. That being said, you will need a new SIM card to restart your service once cancelled. The SIM Card can be purchased at most any Walmart, BestBuy, Walgreens or Target and the SIM number must be provided to activate service. You can pick up a new Free SIM card at the local office.




WHAT ARE THE AVERAGE SPEEDS OF YOUR UNLIMITED HOTSPOTS?


The speeds of all of our hotspots (LTE speeds) depend entirely on how close you are to cell towers in your area, and which carrier you choose. We've had reports of over 80 MBPS from those who are close to a cell tower with LTE+ (Advanced)... all the way down to 1 MBPS that are several miles away from a tower. So you'll want to pick the carrier plan that has the best and strongest LTE signal where you will be utilizing the hotspot/router to ensure the best possible speeds. That said the average download speed is 35-45 Mbps and upload speed is 15-35 Mbps depending on location to the tower. HOW MANY DEVICES CAN I USE ON 1 HOTSPOT/ROUTER?


This depends on the device and can range from 15-20 connected devices per hotspot/router. If more device connections are needed an external router can be attached to provide virtually unlimited connected devices. Please refer to the Modem/Router or Hotspot page for more detailed information or contact us.




WILL THE HOTSPOT WORK FOR ME WHEN I TRAVEL?


(USA Only) These are wireless mobile hotspots, and can be used "on the move". We've tested them on interstates in vehicles, and they work well. This being said, there are definitely times when heading into wooded areas or valleys/mountains, the signal will cut out. However, if you are on open roads with many cell towers around the carrier you are utilizing... then it's relatively steady. Think of our hotspots like your cell phone... you have coverage a lot of the time but not all of the time. We recommend using it in one place overall, but traveling with the device is quite nice. Just don't expect a perfect constant signal.




CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT MY SERVICE WON'T BE INTERRUPTED?


Since our hotspots are engineered and made by humans, they won't always function properly. The only way your service would be interrupted is if your signal is not strong enough, or you didn't pay your bill. However, with anything, there may be extreme circumstances beyond our control like a cell tower getting struck by lightning that you're pinging off of for example. Or if your current hotspot stops working for no reason, we will be happy to troubleshoot with you to figure it out or send you a replacement to get you back up and running!




MY CREDIT CARD WAS HACKED, CAN YOU HELP ME OUT?


Yes, call, email or text notifying us of your situation, we'll continue your service for 5-7 days while you are awaiting your new card to arrive. Please log into your account to update the payment method and make a manual payment to continue your service or contact us for help.




HOW MANY UNLIMITED MODEMS or HOTSPOTS CAN I ORDER, IS THERE A LIMIT?


You may order as many as you like on the same account or create a new account.




DO YOU OFFER BULK DISCOUNTS IF I ORDER MULTIPLE UNITS?


No! We do not discount the modem, hotspot or plans.




I'M 17, CAN I ORDER ONE OF YOUR UNLIMITED PLANS?


No, you must be 18 or older to order our unlimited plan in your name.




IS YOUR SERVICE REALLY UNLIMITED?


For normal Internet usage, YES! No more data caps! No more overages! All of our plans include unlimited high speed data for normal internet usage such as streaming music, movies, surfing, gaming and more! However, surfing/downloading illegal content as well as data abuse is prohibited. The plans are 100% Unlimited, you can use over 1,000 GB per month which no other provider can make this claim.




IS THERE A COMPLICATED SETUP PROCESS?


Not at all! We streamline this for your convenience. Simply turn it on and try it! Again, be sure that you have a strong LTE signal by checking the bars on the device. Please call us upon arrival to provide the device registration information and receive installation assistants.




THE SCREEN ON MY HOTSPOT IS STATING NO DATA? YOU SAID THIS WAS UNLIMITED!


Yes, all of our hotspots are unlimited! Simply ignore these messages; they may appear for reasons that are irrelevant. If you ever have any issues with the hotspot itself not functioning correctly, or if there is a glitch in your service, contact us and we will resolve as quickly as possible. Check around, our customer service and tech support is first class!
